EPHESUS IN A DAY: IZMIR AIRPORT - KUSADASI – EPHESUS – IZMIR AIRPORT  (L )
Arrive to Izmir Airport early in the morning . Meet with your driver and transfer to Kusadasi and start the tour.

Today the tour starts with the spectacular archaeological site of Ephesus... Walking in the footsteps of Alexander the Great, Caesar, Cicero and the Apostles Paul and John - among many others, we will explore the sprawling grounds. The Celsus Library is one of the most impressive buildings in the Roman Empire. Built in the year 117 AD, the facade has 2 stories with Corinthian-style columns on the ground floor. The capacity of the library was more than 12,000 scrolls. It was the third richest library in ancient times after the Alexandra and Pergamum. We will also visit Temple of Hadrian, the fountain of Trajan and the famous Theater.

Afterwards we will also visit the house of the Virgin Mary. Thought to have come here to live out the remainder of her life in seclusion after The Crucifixion, the house has become a place of pilgrimage for both Christians and Muslims today. Before finishing the tour your last stop will be the Artemis Temple which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient World.

After the tour transfer back to Izmir Airport. Goodbye!
